Tea “Wine” Party

Beautiful china, it isn’t just for holiday events anymore. I would like to introduce you to a new twist on the Tea Party concept. Ladies, you’ll want to take notes on this one. Your Girls Night will never look the same and you will surely be the hostess that everyone will be talking about for weeks to come.

Invite your gal pals over for a “Spot of Wine” instead of a “Spot of Tea.”  Ask each guest to bring over their favorite bottle of wine and an appetizer to share. This is a great opportunity for you and your guests to try wines you may not have indulged in before. Instead of tasting the wine from a traditional wine glass, spice things up by serving them from beautiful china cups. Your guests will be taken back to the days of childhood tea party whimsy as they sip red wine from Lenox Alyssa or white wine from Royal Copenhagen Blue Flowers

As the hostess you can share more of your beautiful china by serving delicious finger sandwiches on a beautiful platter such as the Villeroy & Boch Petite Fleur. Offer your guest a bit of your sparkling personality by serving a signature drink. A quick internet search will introduce you to hundreds of drinks that highlight wine. One of our favorites is the Strawberry Wine Spritzer, it’s quick and easy to make. Mix 5 ounces of dry white wine with 2 ounces of soda water, add two strawberries, a teaspoon of sugar, and crushed ice. This makes a single serving, but you can increase the quantities to make a larger batch. Garnish with a slice of orange.

This creative twist on the Tea Party concept will be a great additional to your ladies night events.
